This time around we are pleased to introduce Todd Crowe. Todd is the Director of Operations for Pool Scouts, providing guidance and support to both our local operations as well as our franchisees across the country.
Todd began working in the pool industry when he was just 16 years old, so that means he brings over 20 years of experience to the Pools Scouts’ team! He has spent his career in the pool industry and knows countless details about pool products and maintenance that make him a bit of a pool savant! In addition to Todd’s extensive knowledge about pools, he brings an unbridled enthusiasm to work each day, one that seems to be fueled by his growing family and his love for being on the dance floor!
We spent a few minutes with Todd trying to understand what makes him tick. Here’s a look at what he had to share.
Q: What led you to work for Pool Scouts?
A: The opportunity to help create original content to add to the industry. This company truly works at a higher level, adding value to the end product for our customers.
Q: What is your favorite part about your position at Pool Scouts?
A: Providing both business and technical assistance to franchisees.
Q: What are the biggest strengths professionally that you bring to the Pool Scouts team?
A: Knowledge from all aspects of the industry. From stocking shelves in a retail store to running a distribution supply center, I have a breadth of knowledge of pools.
Q: If you could invite three people to a party, dead or alive, who would they be and why?
A: Michael Jackson – so he could perform at the party, Chris Farley – so he could entertain the party crowd, Will Ferrell – because he’s so damn funny.
Q: If you were shipwrecked, what three items would you want to land on shore with you?
A: A lot of Jim Beam, a satellite phone so I can call for help when I am ready to get off the island and sunscreen.
Q: If they made a movie about your life, who would you want to play you and why?
A: Matthew McConaughey for obvious look alike reasons. I’m also thinking we have similar personalities.
Q: What’s your favorite room in your house and why?
A: My son’s new room, because I built it, but also it’s the main play area for us to watch him create his own fun and games.
Q: If you could plan your ultimate vacation, where would you go?
A: A beach that is warm, clear water, and has plenty of great surfing. I’d also want to stay in a cottage on stilts with the water running underneath.
