Texas has always been a strong state for Pool Scouts growth, given its warm year-round climate and being a top state for number of swimming pools. While Pool Scouts has had a steady presence in Houston for years, things have really started ramping up this year. The same trend happened with Dallas in 2020, when three new franchisees signed for a total of five franchisees in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
Houston alone has already gained three new franchisees this year, bringing them to five franchise owners in the Houston area! With the rate territories are selling, Houston will be sold out before you know it. Our mega-group of franchisees in Houston has proven to be adaptable, learning how to run and manage a business during a pandemic. They have also proven to be driven, diving into a new opportunity to bring professional pool care to an industry that’s greatly lacking professionalism and reliability.
Learn about the wide variety of backgrounds and strengths each of our Houston franchisees have. While some had never cleaned a pool before becoming a Pool Scouts franchisee, they all have a core set of qualities that have set them up to achieve success.
Brent Berridge is our veteran franchisee in every sense of the word. Not only was he our first Houston franchisee, but prior to joining the Pool Scouts family, Brent served in the United States Marine Corps as a Corporal. He also has 20 years of experience in management for a chemical company, giving him a solid skill set for managing a business. He always knew that he wanted to be his own boss one day, but was waiting for the perfect opportunity.
Dave Noblin joined Pool Scouts in 2019, purchasing a territory in the Kingwood area of Houston. Dave came to Pool Scouts after 19 years in engineering, where he gained the valuable leadership experience that helped transition him to business ownership.
Mark Oliver and Aaron Hurtado both joined earlier this year, doubling the Pool Scouts footprint in the Houston area within months. Mark and was drawn to Pool Scouts because it’s a “professional business that focuses on excellent customer service.” Aaron was looking for a company in the service-related industry since he knows it can survive in all types of economies, and his background in business ownership and logistics will be a perfect foundation for joining Pool Scouts.
Our newest franchisee duo, Paco Hernandez and Alberto Sainz, will start operating two territories in the upcoming months. Paco is an entrepreneur who loves doing business and thinking strategically to generate results, while Alberto in a financial advisor, and knows that the structure and kindness of the Pool Scouts team will set them up for success.
With only 10 of 25 territories remaining in Dallas and eight territories remaining in Houston, it’s time to act fast. These aren’t the only prime markets in Texas though! There’s another hot area on the rise for the pool cleaning industry. San Antonio has four available territories. This market may be smaller than the others, but its prime location and large number of residential pools make it the ideal place to start a pool cleaning company.
