Pool Scouts, a 110-unit and growing premier pool service franchise, is honing in on multiple areas for the brand’s expansion. The Buzz Franchise Brands company has grown to 18 states and counting, and the brand’s executives are now looking to increase Pool Scouts’ presence in the Northeastern United States.
The target markets in New England that Pool Scouts is focusing on are: adding 11 territories in Long Island, NY; 13 territories in New Jersey; nine in Boston; six in Philadelphia and three in Pittsburgh.
“There is a great tailwind of demand for pool services in the Northeast, and we are prepared to fill that need,” said Michael Wagner, brand president. “There is a certain kind of untapped potential in New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts and Pennsylvania for Pool Scouts.”
Pool construction has increased considerably since the coronavirus, as many were forced to stay home and improve their property. Renofi data shows that Google searches for “Pool Installation” increased by 49% over a year. The added value of pools has also nearly doubled. Domino.com reports that pools in the Northeast increase property values by $31,847, up 113% from $14,968 a few years ago.
And where there are pools, there is a significant need for maintenance — that’s where Pool Scouts comes in. According to the Association of Pool and Spa Professionals, there are over 228,00 pools in Massachusetts, 374,000 in New Jersey, 503,000 in New York and 334,000 in Pennsylvania.
These numbers show that while the Northeast tends to have fewer pools per capita than other areas of the country, the region is affected by this spike in interest. Pool Scouts is ready to be there for consumers and seeking interested parties to partner with in the major cities in New England.
“We are excited to make a lasting imprint on the Northeast region with new franchisee partners. Pool Scouts is on a path for tremendous growth and success, and we are eager to bring along the right people with us,” Wagner added.
