Pool Scouts entered 2018 with a whole lot of momentum. Adding three locations to the mix, we kicked off the year with nine locations and continue to build on the positive energy. The concept, the opportunity, AND the investment make Pool Scouts an easy franchise to get excited about. Our current franchisees tout the support, the structure and the market as reasons to think twice about the brand.
Since launching in 2016, the goal to differentiate our brand and our service in an industry that is littered with small, unsupported small businesses, has been achieved. Our bold colors, catchy slogans, and the promise to provide customer experience that pool owners have been crying out for, has filled a gap.
In addition to franchisees who are new to the pool business, we realized our first pool conversion. For those who aren’t up on the lingo, a pool conversion is classified as a current pool business owner who saw the opportunity in Pool Scouts and made the investment in the brand and model. In a recent article, Mike Blake, our franchisee in North Plano-Frisco, TX shared, “I am doing well in North Dallas right now, but I want to grow into the Frisco area and beyond. Looking at the market, there’s high demand for pool repair and maintenance services and a concept like Pool Scouts has the opportunity to thrive.”
Additionally, we saw our first franchisee, Tiffiny Consoli, of the Raleigh, NC area, get recognition in a national pool publication! PoolPro interviewed Tiffiny in March of 2018, for their feature article. “What I learned about franchising is they offer a lot of the structure and support you need to be successful quickly,” Consoli shared. “They’re going to do a lot of the hard work behind the scenes making sure you have the right technology to deliver and do a good job, good strong marketing so you can get your name out there quick and people will recognize you.”
Consoli added, “People who get into the business stay because they’ve learned a trade that nobody else knows. I have been warmly welcomed into the industry. I have been really happy and pleased with how great the people are in the industry — it’s been a great experience. I’m learning a ton, and I think it’s a great industry to work in.”
In recent months, Pool Scouts added locations in South Carolina, Georgia and an area of Nassau County, Long Island. The Pool Scouts of the Lowcountry started serving residents in Hilton Head and Savannah as well as the areas in between in February 2018. Up next is Pool Scouts of Nassau’s North and South Shores on Long Island. Choosing Pool Scouts to compliment an existing landscaping business as well as a pest control service, our New York franchisees will launch Pool Scouts the first week in April.
Most recently, Memphis joined the team! Completing training and launching the business within 45 days of completing their Decision Day, Pool Scouts of Memphis is eager to get started. And who can blame them? With the all of the activity coming out of our brand and an opportunity supported by a franchisor committed to its franchisees success and an industry that is ready to welcome a higher level of service, it is no wonder more and more are seeing Pool Scouts for what it is worth.
