Pool Scouts Targeting San Antonio to Round Out Portfolio of Territories in Hot Texas Market

Pool Scouts, the 110-plus territory pool cleaning franchise based out of Virginia Beach, is honing in on efforts to grow in Texas. The state has proven to be an excellent market for the brand, which already has franchise operations in Austin, Plano-Frisco, Sugarland, Kingwood, Dallas and Houston. Now, Pool Scouts wants to expand to San Antonio.

San Antonio is a great market for company operations. It is the seventh-largest city in the United States, with significant population growth in the past year. It was ranked number 17 on Fixr’s list of towns with the most residential pools, with more than 7% of homes featuring one.

“San Antonio promises an appealing market for Pool Scouts to capitalize on for several reasons,” said Michael Wagner, brand president. “More and more people are moving to the area. Many residences have pools that need to be serviced, especially as we get into the hot Texas summers. Our other territories in the state have created a name for Pool Scouts there, and we are excited to grow the brand and bring our services to more Texans.”

Pool Scouts currently has 20 available territories in Texas including four available territories in the San Antonio area.

Starting a pool maintenance business with Pool Scouts is a great way for entrepreneurs to start their business ownership career or for those who already have a portfolio to expand it. The home-based concept offers a relatively low start-up cost, making it easy to get up and running. Actual costs vary depending on local market prices, but the initial investment range for a single territory is $70,950 to $88,350, including the initial franchise fee of $25,000.

“We’ve started to really hone in on geographic concentration in some areas. We got a lot of really exciting things moving the brand forward, including bringing in new franchisees,” Wagner said. “We have a bullish attitude towards 2022, and it looks like we’re in for a really, really strong future over the next couple of years.”
