The pool industry saw tremendous growth with an increase of demand in 2021. A recent survey conducted by Pool Pro Magazine of just under 120 pool professionals show how their business changed over the course of the past year. Of these pool professionals, 70% shared that the pandemic actually had a positive impact on their business! Both revenue and the number of accounts serviced saw an increase. This is due to families spending more time at home and spending more time in their pools.
Pool Pro Magazine also broke down some of the specific areas that the pool service industry had positive or negative impacts on business, with 64% of businesses seeing an increase in revenue, and 43% of businesses having service accounts increased between 10-25%!
With pool business booming, pool companies everywhere have been experiencing a quick need to hire employees. Similar to the service industry as a whole, finding the right employees to quickly jump in and start addressing pool issues can be stressful. Pool Scouts has provided dedicated support to franchisees to help them find the right people to work for them, and then train them so that they can provide the best professional pool care to their communities. Read our recent blog on how Pool Scouts has been addressing the hiring issues with ongoing support and resources.
Just in 2021 alone, we’ve gained 22 new franchisees! Pool Scouts is now up to 45 locations, more than doubling over the past year! With more new locations on the horizon and Meet the Team Days scheduled nearly every week, this growth hasn’t slowed down with the slow of the pandemic.
